Stuart Kelly
Managing Director
Stuart is a qualified accountant, licensed insolvency practitioner and leads the SPK practice. Having spent some fifteen years working for global accountancy practices Deloitte & Touche and Ernst & Young, Stuart possesses a wealth of experience and expertise to assist both businesses and individuals alike through their financial difficulties. In his spare time, he is to be found spending time with his young family or at Goodison Park watching his beloved Everton …….. Although he’s not sure which of the two is more stressful.

Claire Harsley
Insolvency Compliance Director
Claire is a JIEB qualified insolvency practitioner and supports Stuart in leading the SPK practice on all things compliance focused. Claire has been working in insolvency for over 20 years, having spent the majority of her career working for global accountancy practice PwC. She has also worked at international accountancy practice, Mazars LLP, and latterly has spent over 5 years as a Quality Assurance Reviewer for regulators, ICAEW. Claire possesses a wealth of experience and expertise to assist both businesses and individuals alike through their financial difficulties and to ensure that the practice maintains the highest standards in compliance. In her spare time, Claire is to be found spending time with her two dogs (babies), Ollie and Lucas and catching up with family and friends.

John-Paul Lander
Insolvency Director
John-Paul (his Father loved the Beatles) has been working in insolvency for over ten years. He has expert experience in dealing with all types of insolvency with a specialist focus on our corporate clients. He is a qualified AAT accountant with a formidable eye for detail when seeking out the best available solutions for clients.

Phil Kelly
Non-Executive Chairman
Phil is a qualified accountant with over thirty-five years of accounting experience. As the former Treasurer of Liverpool City Council, Phil has been instrumental in advising both local and central Government on matters of UK financial policy. He now acts as expert advisor to SPK Financial Solutions to ensure the best possible outcome for its clients.

Victoria Kelly
Business Development Manager
Victoria has spent the majority of her career employed at Ernst & Young in Liverpool specialising in business development and office management. She has now transferred those skills to lead SPK business development and to assist our clients achieve a maximisation of operational and facilities improvement.

Sally Marshall
Insolvency Manager
Sally has a wealth of experience in both the retail banking sector and in being a successful entrepreneur. Having walked in the shoes of many company directors by running two excellent businesses herself, she is all too aware of the stressful challenges that come with running a business. Sally is therefore perfectly placed to offer the advice you need to help find the ideal solutions for your business.

Brendan Monaghan
Insolvency Administrator
Not only has Brendan accomplished a 1st class honours degree in Accounting and Finance at Liverpool John Moores University, he was also awarded the ICAEW Graduate Certificate for outstanding performance. Brendan has joined SPK to be fully supported in finishing his training to qualify both as a Chartered Accountant and an Insolvency Practitioner.
Brendan has phenomenal numerical skills, attention to detail and investigative initiative that have proven to be a key asset with our forensic work. In his spare time, Brendan enjoys being a family man ……..and watching the mighty Liverpool FC (To the total dismay of Stuart!).

Michelle Guy
Insolvency Administrator
Michelle joined SPK from a national accountancy firm. Michelle is an Accounting & Finance graduate as well as holding a Masters in Law. In addition, Michelle with flying colours has also recently passed her ICAEW Certificate in Insolvency to add to her string of qualifications. Outside of work Michelle has a keen interest in music and enjoys learning and playing a variety of instruments including the clarinet, piano, and the tuba!

Adam Farnworth
Assistant Insolvency Administrator
Adam is the latest recruit to SPK, proving an extremely valuable member of the team assisting the Insolvency Administrators. Adam is currently studying for his Open University degree in Economics and Mathematics. Not only can Adam boast of being the “Student of the Year” at Trafford College for 2019/20, he remains the only person to hail from St Helens who knows nothing about Rugby League. But as a disciplined and talented boxer, we very rarely mention this…
